in line with maintenance plans and statutory requirements employing safe working practices at all times
Duties & Responsibilities
- To ensure that all machines are running to optimum performance at all times
- To carry out daily/ weekly routine maintenance on all machinery as directed by the Shift Supervisor /
Engineering Manager in line with preventative maintenance programme
- To liase with Production staff and other senior management to ensure that repairs/adjustments of an
electrical nature are undertaken
- To complete emergency repairs as required to facilitate the business needs
- To install new machinery with/under the supervision of the relevant machinery supplier and undertake
relevant training on maintenance and operation of said new machinery
- To update / maintain records of all routine and other maintenance/repairs
- Enusre the plant meets production, quality and statutory requires through effective execution of
maintenance work.
- Following any engineering activity, the area must be returned to the appropriate level of cleanliness
- To train new members of staff or other colleagues in the safe and efficient operation of the machinery
under their responsibility.
- To carry out any other duties as may be considered appropriate by the Manager /Supervisor

an experienced Cost Engineer / Cost Planner to join their rapidly expanding team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Previous experience in an engineering and/or construction company environment dealing with EPC type
projects involving the financial, cost and contract control of design, procurement of materials, equipment
and services, manufacture, delivery and site implementation and construction.
- Proven ability to produce, interrogate and disseminate, in a user friendly format, cost and other
related data within the EPC environment
- Ensure appropriate reporting of progress and forecasts internally and to the Client; covering such
areas as weekly / monthly progress, trend and exception reporting, Project financial status, change
control, risk management; taking action to forecast and recommend mitigation measures against liability
for overrun, variations or third party claims.
- In association with the Project Planner, Project Manager and the Project Control Manager develop a
robust Cost Breakdown Structure to facilitate an Earned Value Analysis approach.
- Proactively forecast, trend and analyse software, hardware and construction cost using EVA techniques
and all other available data.

Mechanical Design Engineers.
Depending on experience successful candidates may also become involved in supporting the growth of
future commercial work in providing design support to the Nuclear Power industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected:
- To prepare / check / approve structural or mechanical design calculations that have been
prepared to recognised design standards e.g. BS 5950 and BS 2573.
- To attend HAZID, HAZOP's, Design Reviews and Safety Case studies.
- To provide professional Design Authority advice in all technical matters associated with
clients crane assets and lifting equipment.
- Provide Technical Authority support for the Design and ongoing configuration of process
tools and equipment.
- Prepare or oversee the production of manufacturing drawings using 2D AutoCAD.
- Be prepared to enter a radiologically controlled area.
The ideal candidate should have a HNC/HND/Degree level qualification in a structural / mechanical
engineering (or related) subject. Experience in a structural / mechanical engineering background
that may include design, analysis of structures, mechanical handling equipment in accordance to
the appropriate design standards as above.

Description
As the Commissioning Manager you shall assume responsibility for:
- Implementation of the site wide commissioning standard
- Promote a positive Health and Safety Culture
- Improve project delivery performance and meet company targets
- Develop SQEP commissioning resources (recruitment and training)
- Intelligent customer for the commissioning discipline and shall have an involvement with input
at the earliest project phases, and maintain a continuity of input to the conclusion of
commissioning and handover to active operations.
- Assume a governance role over contracted commissioning work packages
The commissioning manager shall be conversant with and ability to understand the key elements of:
- multi functional technical projects, regardless of bias towards mechanical, process, electrical,
instrumentation or control systems content.
- Safety implications of commissioning on nuclear facilities prior to approving work safety plans,
safe systems of work and risk assessments
Duties & Responsibilities
- An understanding of the practical implications of working in a radiologically hazardous
working environment.
- Deliverables Manage the commissioning phases from construction handover into active commissioning
and operations.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering techniques and good practice
- Good working knowledge of safety case requirements, PMP process SSOW and permit requirements.
- Knowledge of the nuclear industry and understanding of the regulatory and licensing processes
- Substantial experience in a management role supervising teams of engineers and technicians in
engineering/modification work and the setting to work of all conventional engineering systems
disciplines (control systems, mechanical, process, electrical and instrumentation) on nuclear
plant systems.
- An understanding of the FEL process would be an advantage.
The candidate will be required to:
- Define commissioning strategies and underpinning arrangements
- Input and influence other stages of the project lifecycle from early design through to operations,
understand the implications of commissioning work on active facilities with respect to the plants
individual safety cases
- Competent in satisfying the regulator that the commissioning tasks have been undertaken in
accordance with site procedures, and adequately demonstrated the plants performance particularly in
respect to safety.
Key Skills Degree qualified engineer in a relevant discipline (electrical, mechanical, chemical or
process engineering ideally 10+ years (at least 2 years nuclear industry experience in site/plant
commissioning.

Description
You'll be involved in a major or multiple small projects valuing from £100k - £10M. Providing
leadership for delivering projects to cost and ensuring that design, development and test of
systems are carried out within timescales.
Duties & Responsibilities
You'll also be responsible for project planning, customer and sub-contractor management along

Teams will typically be of up to twelve people and projects will be related to the Command,
Control and Communication Systems environment within defence.
Skills Required
You'll need to have proven Project Management experience ideally with a background in engineering
within the defence sector. Having managed teams of 12 people and projects to the value of £10M.
You should also possess good knowledge in Bids & Proposals, Requirements Capture and Sub-contract
& Supplier Management.
Ideally you will have an understanding of Command and Control Systems or have operated in either

Description
The Planning Engineer will work within the projects team acting as the main driving force behind
the direction to which the project moves, as well as being the conscious on the team, reminding
other team members of critical activities that need to be achieved.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Planner will be required to:
- Develop Programme
- Understand Contract Documents
- Develop a full and detail appreciation of the Scope of Works
- Understand Contractual Requirements (Reporting, Early Warnings, Interface and other
Notifications)
- Raise Questions & Develop Proposals (internally as well as to the client and other Third
Parties)
- Review / Develop and agree with the project team proposed method of work
- Identify Interfaces and Programme Constraints
- Develop Contract Programme (review / modify as necessary)
- Develop Cost Profiles and/or Labour Histogram's (as minimum must add critical resources to
programme) to enable Earn Value Reporting
- Develop Procurement Programme
- Develop Programmes for subcontract work packages
- packages Confirm programme periods and incorporate as necessary
- Define interfaces
- Check any additional requirements, i.e. temp works , cranage Update Programme with progress
- Develop Mitigation Proposals
- Development of Programme Commentary / Planning information required for Progress Reports
